Turn 2 - Morning of the Incursion
"Well, will there be any people down there? "Cause if so we'd better be more careful where we shoot." Joe ate his food and listened to the conversations breaking out around him. "There won't be any people down there; none alive anyway. Every second you spend trying to figure out whether or not it's...

Turn 1 - Briefing
Joe entered into the doorway and gave a quick scan of the room. A smile crept across his face. He had barely gotten his feet wet serving in the Marines, but even so he could see faces and uniforms even fresher than his. Joe was in a cheerful mood for reasons he couldn't figure. As he passed by Green...

Turn Eight From out of the Darkness They Come
Joe could make out the figures and it was unlike anything he'd ever seen. He was sure they couldn't be friendly, and he was also sure he wasn't going to let them get any closer. Without even waiting for a response he opened fire. A jet of fuel and fire streamed out of the M240 Incinerator as Joe swe...

Turn Eight From out of the Darkness They Come
Joe didn't even have time to catch his breath. He quickly checked the nozzle burner on his incinerator unit and turned to face the direction of the oncoming movement. Joe was scared of what could be approaching. He wanted to spew flame and napalm in order to stop the rush, but somehow he kept his em...

Turn 7 Into the Dark
"Harmon, call for backup. Altair- keep an eye on that scanner." Morrison walked up to the dead creature, trying to look beyond it down the tunnel. Joe flipped on his com channel to talk with the whole squad, "We've got a small situation down here and may need backup. Please be on stand by." Joe saw...

Turn 7 Into the Dark
Joe gasped as the huge animal fell on Tarik. He had been retreating but quickly changed his direction towards the fallen animal in order to help Tarik. Unfortunately the team had just lost one of their strongest members underneath. Joe showed his doubt, "We may need help from the guys up top." Joe, ...

Turn 7 Into the Dark
Joe started backing up instinctively at the sight of such a large creature running directly at him. Morrison's command to back up encouraged him to speed up the pace even more to a kind of side step. Joe hoped that Tarik and Morrison could take this thing down before it squished them, but he was als...

Turn 7 Into the Dark
Joe, still walking backwards and covering the team's rear, took a glance over his shoulder, and something caught his eye in the IR. Joe whipped full around to see what it was. Joe's voice was intense, "No, wait. I do see something. Tarik, you seeing this?" Joe motioned towards the large figure movin...

Turn 7 Into the Dark
"Harmon, how's your IR, still clear?" "Still nothing," Joe replied uneasily. Joe's eyes were wide open as he struggled to catch a glimpse of anything in this dark tunnel. The shoulder lamps seemed to light them up more than it lit up the tunnel, and he couldn't see anything on the IR. (OOC: But ple...

Turn 7 Into the Dark
"Harmon, how are you hanging in back there? Everything clear at your end?" Up until this point, Joe had been pretty comfortable being the 'tail' since he was confident that anything they'd encounter would have to go through Tarik, Morrison, and Altair before getting to him; while the rest of the sq...

Turn 7 Into the Dark
The tracks were easy enough to see, but Joe mentioned the obvious anyway, "Well, we've got those same tracks we saw up on the surface down here going down both tunnels, but that doesn't tell us much." Maybe Altair would have better luck with the motion tracker.

Turn 7 Into the Dark
Since Tarik was on point, Joe kept the incinerator slung and readied his sniper rifle as they moved through the tunnel. The fact that the tunnel had closed in on them was discomforting. Joe kept his eyes peeled for any evidence of life, movement, or danger and hoped that the tunnel wouldn't get any ...

Lights in the Sky and Rumbles in the Night
Walking towards the parked APC's, Morrison spoke out over the comnet to the platoon: "Listen up, killers! I need three volounteers- and please, don't make me pick." Time for a baptism in fire... Joe wasn't quite sure what was going on, but he was gun-ho ready to be a part of it. Because in the shor...

Lights in the Sky and Rumbles in the Night
Joe sighed. He was relieved that all the commotion appeared to be ending. Maybe now we could all get back to the task at hand. With his attention and gun point still focused on the hole, Joe would sneak quick glances at the conflict between Green and Khan as he muttered, "I'm just glad nothing decid...

Lights in the Sky and Rumbles in the Night
Joe couldn't even imagine what could possibly be awaiting him in a hole at the end of a blood trail, and he wasn't all that eager to find out either. Joe nodded to himself in agreement with Honeysett's suggestion, "NOT going in sounds good to me." Joe watched as some of the officers had a smoke or a...
